God Allows U-Turns – In Life and in Ministry
As Christians, God has called us to be salt and light in the world. As women in Christian media, it is often our own life journey that God uses to allow us to connect with our audience. At the age of 35, Allison Bottke made a drastic u-turn in her life. Shortly thereafter, she founded God Allows U-Turns, an international outreach ministry that began with her testimony and a true short story compilation book series. Twenty-four books later, Allison’s life has taken another u-turn with the successful Setting Boundaries book series. She joins us at WCM to encourage us to look at the platform the Lord gives us as an organic entity that needs to continually grown and change.
“In order to be effective witness in a world growing increasingly dark, we must frequently evaluate the goal and mission of our ministry to align with the journey God has given us. We must use the ever-changing experiences God gives us to be salt and light to the world.”
– Allison Bottke
Allison Bottke is a frequent guest on national radio and TV programs around the country.
Her newest non-fiction book, Setting Boundaries with your Adult Children, is being called a landmark
resource for parents and grandparents. Since releasing, it has hit the #1 spot several times on
Amazon.com in the Parenting category. Allison has developed the Sanity Support Group Network as part
of the Setting Boundaries outreach, with groups meeting around the country. Three more “Boundaries”
books will release from Harvest House Publishers. Allison also writes contemporary fiction for baby
boomer women. Volume one in a new trilogy series called Va Va Va Boom!
will release in 2009 from
David C. Cook Publishers.
